And oh boy this one is tugging at the heart strings. Picture a raining day. Grey clouds, slightly windy and only one brave dog owner out jogging with their dog. Spanky and I finally get to the park I let him off lead. He's doing great. He is coming when called and all that. Suddely he lays down in mid play (telling me a dog is near by. Then I ask him "Where is it?". Before he has time to react German Shepard Chow Chow mix comes running at me. I'm not usually afraid of dogs but I will admit I was a bit nervous. She then stops and sits nicely at my feet. I look around for 35 minutes trying to find her owner. No luck. No one is out and the rain is getting worse. I forgot to bring my backpack so I didn't have a spare leash. Luckily I found a piece of old rope and brought the old lady home.
I've called all her ID numbers and am waiting for a call back. Someone must be looking for this lovely old lady. She has her ID on and a well worn but very cute collar on. So now I wait.
If I can take pictures I will. She is so lovely. I hope her home is an amazing one. This old lady deserves the best.
