So, I got a call from the Mrs. today that she found a lmp on Tidus' hind leg. I asked her if she could really notice it, and she said she could and that it's wasn't there the night before. Now, I already called my vet, and he's set to see her on Friday, but I always like to get some kind of feedback. I just recently had him do a whole blood work test for allergies and he came up with plenty, he's on new foo and new treats. Things he was allergic to were: Human dander, fleas, roaches, a few different weeds, some grasses, corn, pork and some other foods. Anyways, like I said before his new food (I believe it's called Wellness Core reduced fat dry food and Wellness jerky treats), but I don't think that could've cause the lump. Maybe a bite from something, it doesn't hurt him, and he sleeps on it without even noticing it himself. Just wanted to ask you all. thanks.

Lipomas are very, very common (fatty lumps), so Grammy is right, try not to worry too much about it. But it is important to make sure that this is what it is. My Saint has a lump on his neck, I'm nearly 100% sure it is just a fatty lump, however we still have an apointment to have it checked out. Better safe than sorry!

Well, I'm checking it out now and it doesn't seem to bother him. But I can definitely see it from far away. It's for of a small dime sized ball that protrudes out than a large mass. I am able to move it around (softly I don't want to make it angry) and he is pretty fine with it actually. But like I said, and what most of you will advise, he'll see the vet on Friday. I'm confused though because, where it's located, I would have definitely noticed it, so it must have formed over night or gotten bitten recently.

Well, the vet took a look at Tidus' lump and after looking at his history, she noticed that he recently received his rabies vaccines and that the lump was right where the history mentioned the shot was given (on his rear right leg, upper thigh). She said since the shot was given last Monday (the 18th) that it must be a small reaction or a scar. She said to watch it anyways, just to be safe, but that this happens every now and then after dogs get a shot. Guess all is well with my little buddy.
