Ok, I am going brunette (sp?). I am currently light blonde. I have one question...

Is it that important to wait two days before you dye your hair? Just curious, because I want to do it tonight.

Anyone else dye their hair at home?

I am so afraid to dye my hair dark brown, but I need a change. Been thinking about it for a few months, lol.

I heard that you should choose a color according to your eye color, not skin tone. Hopefuly that is true, because I have dark eyes.

Once I go brown, I wont be able to go back. Yikes!

It's best if your hair has had at least 12-24 hours since it's last shampoo and then don't wash it after dyeing for another 24 hours. I usually do it on the weekends so I can wear a hat or bandanna.

Course, my hair is so darn dark to begin with that most of my dye jobs don't show up well.

Yeah, if my eyes were blue, I would never dye my hair brown, lol. Way too risky.

I have blue eyes and I always have dyed my hair brown because it looks better with my skin tone than blonde :) I have been meaning to ask ? Did you get a new dog (the third one in your signature)

The third dog is a past dog, but I do get to see him every month. I only have two doggies.

If you're to insecure, why don't you try a lot of highlights first?
But I'm more for the DO IT! DO IT! :)

If I could I would dye my hair every week. :)

I forgot...I wanna see a picture!

Ok I just got it done, but its still wet. It looks very dark! I managed to get the dye all over my neck, arms, and face. Its a bitch to get the dye out of skin! It will fade with time, lol.

I will show you a before and after pic of my hair. Dont know if I like it yet, because its still wet....

I have blue eyes, and have naturally very dark, almost black hair and I don't look pale. So good luck!!
When you deposit colour into the hair it's much less damaging than taking colour out.
My hair has been every colour of the rainbow, and yes it did get a little damaged back in the day when I was experimenting with colour alot. But I was bleaching, and highlighting, and lowlighting and...etc.
I've dyed and lighlighted my hair all in the same day so I wouldn't have waited, but that might not be the best advice hahaha
I'm actually hoping to go to hairschool when I can save enough for the tuition...it's pretty expensive $7000 for the ten month course at the best school here.
I like dark hair, it's easier to take care of and always looks healthier than going light.
If it ends up a bit dry, do a treatment once a week. My fave is the regular V05 hot oil.
I hope it looks great, I'm sure it will.

Since your hair is so light, the color with definitely get lighter after a few shampoos. I hope you like it. :)
