The dog in my avatar is actually a b1tch ;) my girl Kimi.

I'm kneeling behind her, just beside her head and she's in a show stack baiting for liver (which is why her neck is arched).

So technically she IS smelling something...it's just liver bait.

(Which arguably smells worse than butt- because *mine* smells like Stella McCartney Rose Absolute... ;) )

Oh- I meant to ask this beforehand, is your Boxer pup a show prospect? An absolute cutie!

Ooh, Sharky she's looking wonderful. How are the conformation classes going, is she stacking pretty well?
Her ears look good, very pretty crop for her head shape (and this coming from someone who prefers natural eared Boxers :))

Canine-girl:

The dog's ears have been cropped (cut) and are being posted. They're held up that way so that eventually they will be able to maintain an upright position on their own. The posts don't hurt to wear. They're usually padded with soft, cushy material (I've heard from some people that tampons work well!), although they can be annoying and a bit itchy at first. Pups that are cropped are given pain medication after the procedure, and while they're in a bit of pain for a few days afterwards, most recover with extraordinary speed and can be found rough-housing and playing just as hard as their uncropped counterparts.

This is the American Boxer Club's homepage:
http://americanboxerclub.org/

It has a photo of an uncropped Boxer puppy.

Thank you everyone!

She is for show. Her classes are going great she has improved in a 1 week time her train says so I think she is just going to be awesome RD thanks for asking.

Yep her ears were cropped and the backer rod (which is just foam tubing and doesn't hurt) is just to hold them strait so eventually they will stand on there own for more than 4 hours its a pain but in the end she is going to look amazing she wasn't given any pain meds her mother got hives with the pain meds so the vet wouldn't give her any but that never stopped her from ruff play and she wasn't or didn't seem to be in any pain.

Thanks,
Tiff

I'm very much in agreement with AusCatDog-

What a lovely girl! You can already see she's got a nice, feminine, elegant head.

Of course we're going to want to see some more photos as she matures. I'd love to see a photo of her stacked if you've got one!:D

I don't get why people want to crop them, they have gorgeous ears already. Cropped doesn't look good.
Her dog is for show. MOST show Boxers have their ears cropped and ALL have their tails docked.

(I perfer Boxers with uncropped ears too, but I'm not saying cropped looks bad).:)

Thats YOUR opinion. No one asked you to get anything.

Caninegirl, could you please take the "cropping is the devil" argument elsewhere? It's been debated here hundreds of times and bashing people who have cropped dogs is not going to make their ears grow back.

You're entitled to your opinion and all, I'd just hate to see this thread turn into a huge debate.. That's happened enough lately, just look at this forum and the Fire Hydrant.
