Anybody else as excited as I am? I have hopes for my 49ers to have a somewhat solid season this year...heck, at least a winning record. Sheesh, it only took them HOW many years to realize that Alex Smith was worthless as a QB?

On the college side, I don't know about my beloved Longhorns. They haven't been as great the last few years. They lost a lot of starters this year and are "rebuilding" (code word for "potentially horrible"). *sigh* Oh well, I guess after you win the national championship, there's nowhere to go but down.

Our fantasy league draft is Sunday. I was the champion last year, so I need to defend my title! *flexes fantasy football muscles*

Anybody else excited for football?

I absolutely LOVE football, especially college. We're Georgia fans, and unfortunately the Dawgs are pre-season number one. Nowhere to go but down.

We live in Jacksonville, so we are Jaguar fans, too. They are optimistic about the year. Went to the play-offs last year and think they made some improvements in the off-season. We'll see.

Being from Georgia, we grew up Falcons fans, but it's hard to get very excited about them.

Go Dawgs!!!

I guess I should mention, my son's at FSU. I'm predicting another down year for them. We're Georgia alumni, and we have no particular rivalry with FSU, but we haven't been able to get real excited about them either. I do try to show some enthusiasm for my son's sake, so I better give them a mention here. And he's a big Bulldog fan, too. He was brought up that way!!! I'm glad to see him get totally immersed in Florida State, though. I want him to enjoy and feel a part of the college he is spending all his time at.

I Love football strangely enough I didnt really start watching it until my folks moved to FLA in '05 my father use to referee HS. and Jr.HS football prior to that, so I know more than I really ever had a desire to. On the Fantasy side this will be the 3rd year for me. This time I got an QB that can actually play...Brady! Yippee! My team in reality are the Eagles and the boys are looking preeetttyyy gooodd this year at least in preseason. McNabb is back to snuff, we have a new WR and a new RB the defensive line is pretty solid so "Fly Eagles Fly...On the Road to Victory.... Good thing you can hear me sing...LOL

Finally! Football! Whoo!!! Since I'm near St. Louis, the Rams are the hometown team but they've been picked to be dead last in their league. I guess there's nowhere to go but up! :p Myself, I've always been a Packers fan (since the Lombardi days) but it'll be strange with Brett Favre being a Jet. I still hope he does well, just to keep his record intact; but I don't think he'll get the same protection he had with the Pack.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE college football. I wait for this all year long and have major withdrawals in the off-season. My team is MIZZOU. I have high hopes for this season even though most people *cough* the SEC *cough* think we are a flash in the pan and won't live up to the hype. We'll see!! :)

As for the NFL, I am a Chiefs fan, but they don't look like they are going to be any better than last season. Let's hope that Carl Peterson gets the boot after this season!!!!

SEC checking in!! We (Georgia) will be chugging uphill this season to come anywhere near living up to expectations being heaped on......we sure better not be worried about anyone else's season!!

I really don't know that much about Missouri, but y'all had quite a season last year. You play Illinois in the season-opener, don't you? Y'all will win that one.

It should be a fun year!

Osi...yes that was royally bad. Poor guy. Then Strahan said "No" to pulling a Favre. Glad to see he at least can stick with a decision...for now at least!
