Ma'ii has issues lol. I make the joke everyone else does about my dog having ADHD, but I'm only half joking. He has serious issues focusing. Part of it I think might be his eyesight is getting bad, but when we're out and about, his attention is on everything but me. Except with treats. He's very treat motivated, though maybe a little to much. He almost gets hyper stimulated with treat training. Everything we work on lately just ends with him getting super, ultra frustrated and he dissolves into this barking mess with no self control, at which point I just get up and walk away. I also can't seem to get him to NOT focus in on other dogs, especially when they are intact males.
And why the heck does he do this? I'm not even the one peddling the bike, but he feels the need to bark at ME when taking off for bike rides? Seriously, WTF dog. It's interesting, because when he went in for herding lessons last fall in Nevada, the rancher who was doing the training made me leave the ring, because Ma'ii kept honing in on me like this to. Is he trying to tell me something? Like, I resemble a cow? Hmm..

At the end of the day, he's still our adorable meat head who keeps us laughing and who I wouldn't trade for any other dog though
