Hey Guys
I am a brit living in Texas, USA..my husband lost his job 2 months ago and due to the working visa we have he cannot just go find another job in USA, so we have to return to the UK...not what we want to do but hey its a new adventure, we have had a great time here but its time to move on...

I have a 6 year old lab mix, I have spoken to the Defra people who by the way were so helpful and nice...I am at this moment waiting for the rabies blood test to come back its been 4 weeks, not sure if this is a good sign or not, if the test comes back negative then we have to go back to the start line and start again with the rabies injection, wait 30 days do blood test, wait 5 weeks for results then wait for 6 months before we can ship my dog...

Can anyone give me any advice on shipping my dog, I already have the crate she will be shipped in, I am at the moment trying to build up to her sleeping in the crate over night as the flight back home is 9 hours..

My worry is that if this blood test comes back negative and we have to start all over it will be June before we can move back home, my vet said not to worry we would still be able to fly as we are flying to a cooler climate...I am in favor of waiting until this time next year as it will be cooler here but that means my husband and I will have to live apart for 12 months.

So anyone have experiences or advice they would like to share...

Thanks
