I like Advantix & Frontline. I mainly use Advantix on the dogs that go out hunting, but I've also used Frontline some as well. It's just that Frontline didn't work well (or even at all it seems) on my dogs for fleas as I noticed fleas on all the dogs with Frontline applied but none of the dogs with Advantage or Advantix.

Riot uses Revolution and have NEVER had a problem with it.

He has done, SAR training through woods, hes a frequent participant at dog shows - which are a HIGH area to get fleas from.. he also swims a bunch through beaches and such as well..

no problems at all with him :)

we use advaintix after having problems with the ticks biting through and surviving frontline. just be 100% extreemly carefull if you have cats in the house that go neer the dogs as the active ingredient is fatal to cats.

ive been told that frontline workes better for ticks in places that DO NOT spray for westnile often (ie less than once a season) however in areas high in westnile that spray (like around here where they sometimes spray as much as every other week) ticks have become resistent to the active ingredient in frontline and advantix works better.

We switched from revolution to advantix since we travel to NY a lot and their deer ticks are bad.

Wow, the vets around here don't even sell Revolution any more. It's all Advantix or Frontline, and most think Frontline works better. Go figure. Plus now they have the Advantage Multi which includes heartworm preventive!

Might be because it's not all in one enough.. Revolution only looks after the american dog tick.. No others. When I got it last year, I asked if it covered everything frontline does, she said yes.. She was wrong but we don't seem to have ticks here, and when we went to NY, Cider got covered..

So to sell someone revolution in a place where there's ticks, means doubling up on flea junk.. in the revolution and then again in the tick and flea stuff, so why bothering selling it anymore.
