When drinking a fizzy drink, do you find it more satisfying to drink from a straw or without one? What about out of glass or plastic or out of the bottle/can?

Just a general curiosity. I prefer to drink out of glass but through a straw so the "schuma" (made up word from my jr. high choir teacher pronounced shoe-mah to describe the feeling of the fizziness of pop) is more concentrated.

I don't usually drink soda.. but when I do, I love a straw :) I don't like the idea of my lips being on cans/bottles/cups.. don't know why I just assume they are dirty lol which is ridiculous

I dont' like pouring it, looses too much carbonation. This is why I never buy my pop in 2L bottles. Straws are ok, but again you loose carbonation by going up the straw and the turbulence.

LOL yes I have over thought this before. But I like the most fizz possible. So can/bottle for me (washing them removes the germ worry)

Depends... is there ice in the drink? If there's ice then I want a straw. If not, then no straw.

Straight from the can or bottle, I don't care as long as it goes down my throat lol but I like to use a straw for Cardyn if its a can or bottle. She is only allowed to have sprite on special occasions. I don't let her drink soda a lot, so its only milk, juice and water for her for now.

I'm not a big fan of pop or anything fizzy, but if I do drink it, it's always without a straw. And I don't care if it's a can, bottle or a glass. Though actually I do sort of prefer a can or a bottle... otherwise the bubbles spit and pop in the glass and end up getting my glasses all speckled, which is annoying.

A dermatologist told me years ago straws cause wrinkles and not to use them. But I still do with pop!

I rarely drink fizzy juice, but when I do, I'll take it out of a can. No straw, otherwise its too bubbly and I don't get any taste. If there's ice, it has to be in a glass :)

I always use straws with still drinks.

It depends on location so I can't really answer except that I LOVE Dr Pepper. At home, a cold and straw-less can out of the fridge is great. At a restaurant, give me a glass with a straw.

Never touch the stuff. The only fizzy drink I'll drink is champagne and that rarely. Or once in while a bourbon and seltzer, which I put ice in and drink from the glass. I use to drink pop sometimes in the summer, but now I don't even like it.

The only fizzy drink I really drink is diet coke... and I only get that in cans, because I think the bottles are TOOOOOO fizzy.

I'm not a big fizzy pop drinker.

It's the same with smoking. Go stand in front of a mirror. Pucker your lips like you would with a straw or if you were smoking (sucking in and blowing out) Look at the little lines that form all around your mouth. Making that motion over and over again for years will eventually cause those little, fine wrinkles to remain.
