Sierra was having her weekly play day at her former foster mom's house, and being "sisters in crime" with a hound pup that's been there a few months, they got into trouble. They found (on a high shelf of course) a bottle of Killex weed killer. Chewed it open. Ingested who knows how much of what was spilled on the deck.

I show up to pick up Sierra and am greeted at the door, saying they're just on the way out to the vet, she was leaving me a note to let me know where they were.

Both dogs are given stuff to make them vomit (3 times each, poor girlies) and half a bottle of activated charcoal each. We're supposed to watch for neurological symptoms, but the vet thinks it was caught soon enough and we should be okay.

*sigh*

Oh no! How is she doing, is she showing any ill effects - well, other than the ickiness of induced vomiting and charcoal? Poor dear, give her a hug for me. I know how scary this is. :(

She's acting tired, but otherwise completely normal, so I'm not going to worry too much. She was twitching a bit at the vet after her vomiting, but the vet said not to be concerned about it unless it got a LOT worse/uncontrollable. It stopped before we left the office.

I'm a pretty paranoid mom so I'll be jumping on ANY signs of illness.
