I live less than an hour from wilmington. I moved out of wilmington last July. It's gonna be quite hard finding a hotel with vacancy since tourist season is coming up most of the hotels have alreay been booked up. If you want I can go through the phonebook and give you names and phone numbers of hotels and you can see if any have rooms available.

oh thank you jess. i actually looked over the link all day. sorry i didnt say anything. yeah i was just asking for anymore help.

but yeah everything seems full. we just want one next to the beach. but then the thing that will hold us back even more is that we want to find one where its pets allowed...

BSCOTCH... that would be amazing.. only if you're free though. i dont want to hold u down with that kind of work.

EDIT: also.. of all the beaches around there.. which would u recommend checking out (and which to avoid)?
it looks like theres not much to do around there. our family isnt really interested in going to those historic sites or museums (we're bored easily lol). is that independence (or wingate or whatever) mall any good? we were also thinking about checking out the aquarium on roanoke island.

I went to UNCW. :) You will have a hard time finding a hotel on the beach this close to spring break. My parents alway used to stay at the Hampton Inn on Market Street I think. It's not on the beach, but the beach is not that far of a drive. Independence Mall was terrible when I went to school although I know it's been updated since. However they have a big new shopping center called Mayfair, I think it's on military cutoff. I haven't been yet, but my best friend/college roomate has and she loves it. We always stay at her in-laws beach house on Topsail Island when we go now, so I can't help with much hotel advice, but if you want any info on the school, I'll be happy to tell you what I can.

oh, i'll definitely pm you (or you can just say it here) about the school and the place around there. my sister is going to UNCW next year, and im thinking about going there the year after. i havent really seen much there on the internet.. just like any historic city.

independence mall was actually the only mall i could find around there so we were going to go there, but that sucks now that i hear its crappy.
