So I finally got Comfortis for the girls (just got my first check from the new job), I just gave it to them about two hours ago. I was quite relieved that they didn't puke, apparently that's a common side effect?

I'm excited to see how it works.

yeah, thats the most common side effect. but i think alot of the people do not give it with a meal, which it clearly says on the packaging.

I gave Mina's right before she had her dinner. And Upendi well, I ended up having to force feed it to her after her dinner.

I tried giving it to her as a treat and she spit it out, I tried putting it in her food and she ate around it. So yeah...I had to force feed her.

So that could possibly be the reason people have problems with puking.

A flea preventative in pill form. It's made by the same company as Capstar. And like Capstar it's supposed to start killing the fleas ON the dog in half an hour and kill all of them within four hours. It's your standard thirty day dosing schedule.

So far no issues with Comfortis here, I like the pill form as I hate putting topical flea prevention on my dog's jacket, especially when in show coat. Hope it works well for you!

Have you tried those "Pill Pockets"? One of my dogs always spits out her heartworm medication, but if I put it in one of those she never fusses and eats it right away.

Two of my 4 are incredibly allergic to fleas...one bite and they're raw and oozing! I put those two on comfortis 2 months ago and the results are amazing. They have hair, that is white and not pink, and little to no scratching. The rest of the crew get frontline and it seems to be working fine.
