The cones are for stabilising the crop so it heals correctly.

They are soooooooo cute!!!! I love tinsel, she has such an aura about her! When do their cones come off?

I can't even pick a favorite. The pups are adorable!

You're right puppydog - the cones hold the ears up while they heal.

Since the cones are glued on, they fall off whenever they decide to fall off... usually around the time the ears are healed. They get chewed on, smacked with puppy paws, sat on by puppy butts... it's amazing they stay on so long!

NRA's puppy's momma is being bred this weekend. Normally the breeder wouldn't have another litter right after this one, but the bitch being bred this week didn't take the last time she was bred, so per contract I think she has to be bred at this heat.

*fingers crossed for lots of male puppies to choose from!*
