Yes, I have this. I have to have diagnostic mammograms (they squeeze you harder :yikes:) and an ultrasound each year. I just received my results in the mail yesterday and I have to return in 6 months :( seems there is an area they want to review. I really hate this, my mammograms are always scary. This is what I have researched on this condition..

The incidence of it is estimated to be over 60% of all women. It is common in women between the ages of 30 and 50, and rare in postmenopausal women. The incidence is lower in women taking birth control pills. The risk factors may include family history and diet (such as excessive dietary fat, and caffeine intake), although these are controversial.

I consider myself a healthy eater, I stay away from fatty foods and do not drink coffee..I do indulge in dark chocolate on occasion and have about 3 glasses of ice tea a week, I usually drink water....aside from avoiding these things, is there something else I can be doing to tame these crazy cysts?

I don't know anything specific that you can do. My mother had these cysts for awhile. She had moe than a few biopsies. All were benign. She doesn't seem to get them anymore. At least it's been many years since she's had one.

Thanks, they say they dissipate after menopause.

I will pray for you! I didn't know coffee could be a cause. Maybe I should cut back while I am young. I think this is a scary thing for women. Make sure you let us know how everything goes.
