He really is a very gentle dog. He is SO fantastic with kids, even very young children like toddlers. He's never been aggressive towards anyone... the only time he ever seemed to get aggressive with someone was when I had him out. An adult was with their kid walking by as I was talking to hubby at work, the guy playfully picked up his kid and swung him up around his shoulder and the kid squealed (excitedly) laughing, and Lugar jumped to the end of the leash barking. He is so protective of children. We currently don't have any 2 legged kids, but he was raised and socialized around young kids. I've noticed as he's gotten older, he likes people more than he likes dogs. Not aggressive towards dogs just very uninterested lol
