Fed up of your dog? just trade him for another

I imagine neither Heather nor Lisa are going to be posting anymore, they've both made it quite clear they don't care what we have to say.

I think she knew what the people were going to say on this forum, when she thought of trading the dog for another one, and that is why she didn't mention it here but used a classified ad instead . She had another ad for trading a different dog in the same classified a couple of weeks ago. Apparently she thinks trading one dog for another is perfectly normal. I think she is an idiot, but that is just my opinion.

This is something that happens fairly often with those two and even after months of nigh-flaming by us, it's resulted in nothing but some friends of theirs coming on and starting a bash war that has no purpose beyond hurt feelings. I'm afraid I have to say it's a lost cause.

If at least one person reads this thread and learns the difference between a BYB and a reputable breeder, then it won't be a lost cause at all. Though no one will be able to make Heather or Lisa understand the error of their ways, there may be other future puppy buyers who see Heather's web site or classified ads and realize why they should run in the opposite direction. It's too bad that Lisa's shepherd couldn't have found a wonderful home as a treasured companion rather than becoming breeding stock, but at least as effort was made to point her in the right direction. The fact that she opted to turn him over to a BYB just highlights the type of dog owner she is. There wasn't much more that anyone here could do to change her mind.

HAVE YOU ALL CONSIDERED MINDING YOUR OWN GOD **** BUSINESS???We will all have a look at your personal lives and disect it for everyone to see and then laugh and judge you for your choices. Think about it. You **** people have no morals you care more about your dogs than a human being. When the choice arrives i'm sure you would pick your dogs over your kids..that was her choice and she chose her child and rightfully so. She has no reason to even owe ANY of you an explaination on this subject. Just a bunch of gossip, talk behind peoples back persons, that's what you all are. Ever think perhaps a smaller dog is what would keep her sanity, she said she had no problems feeding the dog and the vet helps her out so what other reason do you have to belittle her.

Consider reading the entire thread. She received plenty of support and lots of options, but in the end the dog became a disposable commodity. Anyone who is a true dog lover would have a problem with that.

Familiar i think not. I joined yesterday hearing how great his forum was but man from what i've seen it's absolutley the worst judgemental, bashing forum i've ever attended. No humanity or morals just plenty of bickering and bashing. when your down in life it's always good to have people jumping on your back to sink you lower than you already feel. But wait i'm the juvenile one, if juvenile means having compassion for a plight then i'm the biggest juvi you've ever met.

If you read the thread, you'll realize that it never was about her child. It was about the fact that the landlord said her dog was too large to live in her home. She was quite willing to take on another dog and said she had the means to feed and vet it, hence the trade for another breed.

I disagree, this is a great forum with great information. Nothings sugar coated here and definitely not a BYB supporter. Maybe this isn’t your “type” of site, so why do you stay if you hate it so much?

What is wrong with what? Handing him over to be indiscriminately bred by a BYB? If you don't know the problem with that by now, then you have a very different idea about dog ownership than many of the people here.
