French: Dogue de Bordeaux

English: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Irish: Irish Wolfhound

Swedish: Jamthund (I guess . . . there are only a couple from Sweden and this one is the cutest, plus I love Norwegian Elkhounds and these seem to be similar)

DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of these pictures. They are all linked to their point of origin and if you own one of these pictures and would like it removed I will happily do so.

Paige:
Broholmer
Hertha Pointer
Old Danish Pointer

I have to say I like the looks of the Broholmer.

Still have yet to find a real Ukraine dog though. This could drive me insane!

Thank-you! I actually want to read up on these dogs now. I like the looks of the Broholmer as well. It's a very good looking dog.

Well, first I'm American.... So that breed would be the Silken Windhound.
I'm Scottish on my mom's side, so that breed would be the Scottish Deerhound.
I'm Irish on my dad's side, so that breed would be the Irish Wolfhound.

I *LOVE* sighthounds!!

I love The great dane. The Great Dane is a gentle giant. This is an enormous dog with a short, thick, shiny coat of fawn, brindle, black, blue, mantle harlequin and sometimes Merle. Dignified, kind and affectionate, the great dane is playful and patient with children. It loves everyone and needs to be around people. The Great Dane does not bark much and only becomes aggressive when the circumstances require it.

Well being Canadian, and having my roots traced to the first settlers here (wow there is a lot of inbreeding in my family tree in the early days :yikes:) with some additions of british (though the penal colonys in Australia) And some Irish directly.. here goes.

For Canada my fave would be of course the toller...
I couldn't find any good pics on the net.. so just look at any pic of Toller08's Dance :D

For the british...JRTs of course, and whippets too.
