Petstages Orka Jack!

They are not good for dogs who are heavy chewers of anything they can get their mouths around, but hold up well to a dog who's primary objective is to get all the food out.

I'd probably say...
hm...

Either the H I.Q (rubber pipe like things with shaped holes on the sides), the Genius Leo, treat stik (though Ella gets bored with that one), Orka Jack, Busy Buddy Twist and Treat (though I should've gotten the large with that one).
Basically, she likes ALL of them.

My favorite is probably the H I.Q., The Genius Leo, and Kongs.
You can prepare them ahead of time and freeze them.

Does anyone else's dog rub his/her chin raw almost on frozen kongs?

I have a buster cube and a giggle ball. The cube on maximum dispenses too easily once the dog gets it. The ball is better.

Orka Jack is not really conducive to freezing because the stuffable part of it is a tube with pretty tiny openings and no way no how is a dog going to get frozen stuff out of it. Its more along the lines of a roll-it-around-make-the-treats-come-out typed toy like a buster cube. I use kibble in it, but I put larger treats at either end, so first they have to get at least one of those treats out, then roll and bounce it around to get the kibble out (the PetCo treat bar, while rife with nasty processed dog cookies, is an excellent resource for finding treats that *just* fit the various holes on your interactive toys).

So Becca, you got the Canine Leo? Is it awesome? I want one so bad (or rather I want like 8 of them) but they are soooo expensive!

Bradley, I got the Genius Leo at www.lucysdoghouse.net because they had them on sale for $17-something.

I couldn't miss that since Cressida told me about them and I wanted to get one for Ella so badly.

Here's the direct link.
Canine Genius Leo

The H I.Q is here.

I got both pipes because it was on sale for...like, $21 or something like that.
I suppose you could freeze those and a SUPER EAGER, FOOD MOTIVATED dog could get all the food out. But I don't freeze them for Ella.

Houndlove-

I LOVE IT. My order got a little messed up, I had accidentally ordered a large blue Extra canine genius, but I had wanted pink, so I emailed the guy real quickly right after I saw my order and realized that I ordered the wrong color (because, YES, I wanted a PINK one. hahahaha, I've never been so into pink things and orange things until I got Ella) he said he'd fix it.
But he's changing shipping or something and I ended up getting sent a regular strength, large TEAL leo instead.
So, if I order another one he's going to give me 50% off for the mess up.
But I'm broke for now. She has enough stuff to carry her through her meals.

I filled it with kibble and some shredded, cooked chicken the other day, I covered the "X"s with peanut butter and filled the neck of it with yogurt and then froze it.
Let me tell you! Now THAT took forever for her to make it through.
We had a busy day that day. She left a couple pieces of chicken and kibble, came up on the couch with us, and PASSED OUT immediately.
That was near the end (the car chase part) of Tarantino's Death Proof.

that leo thing looks neat... but EXPENSIVE! :)

i was looking for something that would be moderately hard for the dogs, and i wouldnt have to freeze to keep the stuff in it.

HI.Q. is neat.

You could always stuff kibble in it and then smother the ends with peanut butter.
I do that with her Orka Jack OR I use a piece of raw beef to plug up the ends.
