Anddddd GO!

It's my learning issue (dog behavior basics) and I'm having trouble finding a source I like... all the veterinary books I have do a lot of referencing of wolves... and they seem a tad old.

Right now I'm reading "Don't Shoot the Dog!" by Karen Pryor. It's a little dated, but still a good/informative read.

I haven't read it yet, but I've heard "the Culture Clash" by Jean Donaldson is quite a good read as well.

Haha great minds think alike... those are two of the books I had out last night :)

I'm afraid they're going to be like "where are your scientific peer reviewed articles?!" And I'm like wellll...

I know what I'm trying to say, just trying to find a source to say it is proving harder than I'd thought. I think I've got a pretty good page...

She cites peer reviewed stuff, but some of the bigger ones she cites often are pretty shoddy from a scientific standpoing. Peer reviewed yes, do they yield quality data? questionable at best, but it doesn't stop her from manipulating it to her desired outcome.

anyway, I still haven't found a better source than the Stephen Lindsay series. It's a pretty dry read, text book like, but most everything else is written with a lot of emotion under the guise of "science". Doesn't mean they're all bad, most are really pretty good overall, but there's still some pretty big assumptions and omissions in a lot of them.
