Thanks for your replies.

I personally don't have a problem using my real, full name. It makes it a bit more personal and it encourages people to be more responsible for their postings. Not that this site isn't...Anyway, I'm sure that there are members in Doggiedooronline that use fictious first, and last names. Hint, Hint! ;)

I think putting your first and last name is dangerous. People can find you with that and your state so if you absent mindedly say where your from they can look up your adress and come to you at any time and I find that scary!
Although I am a memeber of the bored LOL :p

You have to give a first name and last, then proceed the same way you did when you registered in here.

Good luck with your new puppy!

Your name is a label, but "CreatureTeacher" tells us who you really ARE! :D

And 'Blue' just suits so well - but I've got to confess that when I see Blue on a post, I always think, instead of just "Blue," "TrueBlue" ;)

Babyblue, I recognize your dog's pictures from DB. You are already a member and have used a first and last name to registered on DB, so why are you making such a statement? I think your last comment was in poor taste, bordering sarcastic.

My loyalty is with all dog owners who are learning and sharing their experiences to be the best owners they can be. I try to keep an open mind and learn from all...

BB said clearly that he's already a member of the board. Exactly what did you find "in poor tast, bordering sarcastic"?

There's not a problem with BB expressing his opinion on this subject. It sounds like he's not the only one uncomfortable with the idea of using his real name. And he's right; it can be dangerous to give out personal information online, especially for younger people. It's important that young folks think about things like that before they broadcast their personal information to thousands of strangers.
