I know I don't post here much although I read the new posts everyday but I need to ask for the great vibes that Chazzers are known for.
Today I found out that Farley has cancer and he will be having his right front leg amputated this coming Mon.
This has completely blindsided me and his vets as well. We won't know his prognosis until after the surgery and the biopsy results are in and they know which type it actually is. Worse case scenario is 3-6 months. Best case is my goofy fun-loving furpal will be with me for a few more years.
He is such a stoic dog and until 2 wks ago showed no signs of any problem whatsoever. When we went to the vet I was expecting them to find a thorn or something that I couldn't find that had caused an infection. Even with me poking & prodding to try to find something and the vets doing the same today he never reacted in pain at all. After the xrays they said he has to be in alot of pain. In fact even today other than not using his leg you'd never know there was anything wrong with him - he's still happy, good natured, eating, drinking, etc. and I'm trying to look at that as a good sign.
He won the battle with bloat & that e-surgery and I pray this is another battle he wins.
