I can see where people would need to do that. If a dog was burned badly then I could see why a dog would need it but just to get an ear to go straight up I don't think so.

When i was in school I had an english teacher who got her Sher Peir (SP?) a face lift but it was for medical reasons I don't recall right now.

Showing dogs isnt important unless you really need money badly, say, you found a dog on the streets, found it was a purebred, but had, say, a floppy ear. You had 100 dollars left- just enough to fix the dog's ear and it would be top choice of any responsible breeder. Then you might make some money at a show, but otherwise, showing dogs isnt very important.I don't like it otherwise, unless the dog was burned or was in some other accident, then it would probably be ok.

Unbelievable! I could see pet plastic surgery for a dog who was deformed in some way but just to enhance the looks? Ridiculous. Why subject a pet to unnecessary pain.
