The power and maneuverability of those are amazing. The way they can control it even when going backwards at times is astounding. I'm glad they're on our side :)

I wonder what kind of MPG's it gets :p

Aren't they amazing? When we were out in VEgas last year (where our son was at the time), we actually got to not only touch one, but look in the cockpit. Of ocurse, all "top secret" stuff was either covered or removed. But it was soooo cool!

My guess, about 2 seconds per gallon. LOL

I love planes and flying. Not as up on it as I used to be, I was more of a WWII war bird guy. My gpa was a navigator on a B-17 and bought me a book when I was a kid. I knew every stat in that book on every plane in there.

I was so pumped to sit in the cockpit of a P-51 Mustang, I bet there's a small difference between that and the F-22 :)
I'm jealous you got to see, touch and watch one fly.

Just another thing that makes you realize how far we've come. The Wright brothers are looking at it and going "yah well I flew for 42 seconds!"

Tis a thing of beauty.

They had the raptors at the EAA Fly-In at Oshkosh a couple years back. SWEET aircraft. Your son is very lucky. :)
