....to have a pit bull up your butt?

Come to our house and you'll find out. The stupid neighbors have been lighting off REALLY LOUD fire works for an hour now and Sally is stuck to me like glue. Not showing any real "stress" signs, just following me. Everywhere.

this is my first experience with Wilson and fireworks...it appears he makes as much noise in return to the 'boom boom"-- fun.

Here's hoping I don't have any fireworks in close proximity the way you guys do.. though it seems pretty inevitable in NYC x.x

awwwww..... poor sally!!!! I hope the neighbors did not buy too many to set off this year. I hope he will be okay and doesn't start to really stress out on you. As for you bubbatd, wow!!! Grand parent(s) and granddogs??? You must have one heck of a full house!!! How do/are you handling that?

That is cute Baxter'smybaby, I never knew a dog to do that. At least you will know when an intruder(s) are around :p

I am sorry to hear about Mary and her going deaf. I know it is easier when dealing with loud noises like fireworks, but it has to be hard not being able to do the things with her like you used to or your other fury friends being able to play with her like they would be able to do if she was not.

Tallulah wore herself out going into Pittie Frenzy Overload every time one went off earlier. Now she's zonked out on the sofa . . . recharging, no doubt. :wall:

What made it even more *interesting* is that Kharma gets fed up with Tallulah's running from door to door to window to door and retaliates by laying in wait for her and barking hard at Tallulah and snapping at her as she goes past. Kharma's decibel level is MUCH greater than Tallulah's

Morgan is already in bed. He's asleep and dreaming right now.

Honestly, Morgan is the first dog I've ever had that doesn't react to fireworks or thunder. It's kind of nice, but kind of weird, too. He's completely konked out and I'm the one awake and listening to all the noise!

Actually, my in-law's dog, Molly, is weirder. She begs to go outside when the noise starts, whether it be fireworks or storms, and then just lies on the porch watching it all happen.

My mom's old dog, Cody, used to go hide in the shower.

Awwwww, that is cute that he is sleeping, dreaming about fireworks. I wonder if he imagines them forming into shapes of other animals like a giant squirrel or delicious treats that he would love to eat.

I find it really interesting that your in law's dog, Molly, begs to go out side for fireworks and thunder and than just sits there and watches them. I wonder what it is about them that intrigues her so much?

Wow! That is "interesting" Renee, to hear how Tallulah goes i guess "crazy" over the sound of fire works and Karma tries to get her to stop by waiting and snapping at her as she goes by. That has got to be hard this time of year to hear her go wild over the fireworks that may be a good few miles away.

I was lucky. No one really close was doing fireworks. Jake could hear them and was restless but not to upset. He was more interested in the racoon that came out early I guess cause of the fireworks.

My neighbor across the street likes to buy lots of those illegal ones and then toss them in the street about 10 feet from my windows. It literally bounced things off the sill last year and scared a friend of mine to death. So we were at the off leash park this morning with Zoom. THey will be too tired to care about it hopefully and fingers crossed that Mary won't hear those either.

Ozzy isn't thunder or firework phobic thank god. My childhood dog hated fireworks and would try to escape to eat them. She wasn't afraid of them, I don't know what her problem was.

I'm hoping Enzo isn't phobic either. It should be mostly quiet in my neighborhood, the big event is going down across town, so I'm hoping that most of the big stuff happens over there.

Enzo does get concerned at things like trains, but not thunder, so I'm thinking it is a novelty thing, and she won't have a problem.
