Puppy mill rescuees looking for good homes | CJAD
Oh wow. I know that puppy mills are not that common in Canada. Especially in Alberta. But wow. I really hope the puppies find good homes!
I hope so also. North Shore Animal Leuge had an ad on CL saying they were getting 200 puppies in. I'm thinking it's probably from the mill in Canada that was mentioned in the article.
We have the same problems - just a smaller population.
Yup, fully agree...
Quebec is well known for their puppy mills, it is my understanding that they also supply to the U.S. Not to mention that their animal cruelity laws are worse than the rest of Canada which is already very slack.
I was just going to say Quebec is known for mills. Its sad but the Amish also seem to do a lot of small scale milling too.
I do know lots of local rescues pull lots from US mill busts, so I don't feel so bad about a US rescue taking some Can milled dogs.
of course even in Canada. We have *gasp* stupid people here too We are really the same... we just pronounce and spell words cooler Like adding in the letter 'u' in random places LOL
