Hi Dog Lovers, first time user here. I'm just about to open my grooming shop "Rover's Reward" and I'd love some advice on the best brands of "essential shampoos and conditioners" that are safe and effective ! Thanks for your time to respond.

Check Ryanspetsupply.com. You'll want one for dark haired dogs, one for light haired dogs, a deticking shampoo, and depending on your area, you may want a deskunking formula (I make my own, but it doesn't hurt to try the various things on the market). You may also want a creme rinse for dogs with hard to work with coats, and a leave in conditioner. If there's anything else I can help you with, let me know. I groomed in a shop for two years and have been off and on grooming out of my home since I was eighteen (21 now). Not a ton of experience compared to some, but I do what I can. :)

HAMPI Natural Pet Spa - Dog Grooming Products

Hi,

Congratulations on opening your grooming shop!

Check out HAMPI Natural Pet Spa website:

www.hampinaturalpetspa.com

They got natural dog shampoos, natural dog conditioners.

The products are based on the Dead Sea.

As well, if you are looking for spa products they have a Dead Sea Mineral Mud Treatment for dogs.

I love their dog grooming products.

The grooming shop I managed, we used tropiclean (not my favorite) and Nature's Specialty (which I really liked). I absolutely LOVE their Quicker Slicker for dematting. I would use it on thick coated dogs as a leave in conditioner...hydrosurging it in. When you would go to blow the dog out the clumps of hair just released and flew out...so nice

Deskunking, we tried all the ones on the market and the best was the homemade one of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.

I use Fresh n' clean fresh scent for my dog's basic bath, it leaves a nice pleasant odor for over a week.
