It's rained almost the entire day, poured last night...the yard outside is a mire. And I have three dogs (2 Goldens and Sawyer) with feet to wipe before they come inside...aaargh! Pad feathering is so hard to get really clean...and I hear more thunder outside now. I ought to put them out at least one more time before the night and then put them in the tub to clean off their feet for real because two of the sleep on the bed and I'm pretty sure the owner wouldn't be too happy to come home to muddy pawprints all over her furniture.

Same here Zoom. We still have some of that snow melting slowly from the seven foot drop in Feb, but where there's no snow, it's all mud. Just a really sloppy spring. Tosca is becoming a mud magnet.

Ugh, do I know what you mean! There's three in this house right now, too, and it seems like one of them always manages to squirt away before I get all three done. =P I've been cleaning the kitchen floor of muddy pawprints non-stop for the last two weeks. Every time it finally dries up a bit, it clouds over and pours on us again...
Hurray for Spring, right? =P

I started putting an old sheet on top of the bed so I can wash it out just in case muddy feet get to the bed before I get to them.

I'm right there with you. It's muddy and melting snow here and I'm boarding a 100lb young Golden who loves to dig:rolleyes: So fun with my big pregnant belly to be bent over huffing and puffing because in that position I can't get a breath in:eek:

I took my clippers to my own dogs paws a few weeks ago and got rid of all the hair between and around their pads-- that helps A LOT and only takes a couple minutes if you own clippers.

I'm just so glad Sawyer's got the "wash n' wear" type of coat...both the Goldens have the soft show-type coats.
