Middie loves them. We play 'fetch' with his eggs soemtimes.. I throw them across the yard and he races after them and gobbles. It's hilarious.
Haha! I do this, too. We are weirdos. x3

My boys get whole raw eggs several days a week. Our eggs are really huge too, because they're from a local farm. Occasionally, I give them whole hard-boiled eggs, which they seem to prefer. Eggs are very healthy.

I sometimes give hard boiled eggs to my dogs. They are a really good source of protein. Mine prefer to have me remove the shell, spoiled things that they are :p.

Oo.. I've made up my mind. I'm giving each of mine one raw egg tonight on top of their food. :)

I found the ultimate way to feed eggs. The ULTIMATE way. You crack the egg open into a bowl, mix the yolk and white, and fill up a big kong halfway with kibble.. add some yolk... mix a bit.... microwave it for 30 seconds or until it whistles. Then add more kibble and pour the rest of the egg in a mix a bit.. annnnd repeat.

This took him WAY longer to demolish than a frozen kong (kibble + generous amounts of pb, yogurt, or cottage cheese)... nearly 2 hours, and he was going absolutely crazy over it the entire time. He whined and snorted and made gurgling sounds.. and grunted a lot.. picked it up and threw it against the crate.. pawed at it.. attacked it.. he tired himself out so much he had to take a nap afterwards.

So would this give a small breed dog diarrhea or anything?
Should I be concerned with them choking on the shell?

I have never heard of this.

I feed raw eggs to my dogs, though they don't like the shells. I just crack the egg open and pour it over their kibble.

My boys looooove eggs too! I can give one to OC whole and he knows to break it open but Ronan is too disinterested in food to make the effort. He will carefully pick it up and cache it somewhere rather than eating it right away. So instead I will crack it so when he picks it up it breaks in his mouth LOL This makes him eat it right away.

I cook eggs for my dogs

I do not feed raw eggs to my dogs but then again I do not eat raw eggs myself.

I lightly scramble and then saute. Lucy and Kona pretty much lose their minds when they get it in their bowl and run to where I set down their bowls.
