I have weird skin between my fingers on my right hand. It just seems dry and the skin seems cracked a little bit... kinda flaky. I did my super scrub on them (sugar and olive oil), some of the skin flakes are gone but it's still a mess. Doesn't itch or hurt at all but it's annoying me.

I've been using neutrogena dry hand cream (which works awesome on the rest of my hands) on it but it doesn't seem to help at all. So... any recommendation? Or any idea what it could be?

My father had eczema and used cetaphil.

It just sounds like bad dry skin to me, it happens sometimes on my knuckles, not between the fingers. I would use a humidifier if your house is dry, use lotion EVERY single time you wash your hands & after a shower or getting hands wet at all (the kid's baths, cleaning, dishes) (and make sure you're using a mild soap), don't use hand sanitizer, if you use any harsh cleaners (even without chemicals, like strong soaps or disinfectant or anything), wear gloves.

The only thing that kept my cuticles from cracking into oblivion when I worked as a dog bather was being super diligent about keeping my hands moisturized and keeping harsh substances away from them.

My aesthetician who has a son with really bad eczema uses this VaniCream:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NWGCZ2/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_7

She said you can get it at CVS and Walgreens and you want to use the CREAM not the lotion, but that it works well. My son also has it, and so did I growing up in fact between my fingers, but it always itched and Coop itches his like crazy.

You can also get a cortizone cream at the store to see if that will help. We have prescription strength stuff now.

I had to get a prescription cream for my dry hand eczema - I get bad patches like that especially in the winter. And in between times, when it is under control, I use the Neutrogena.

I have both dry skin and I can get eczema on my face, arms, and legs. For dry skin, I use a gentle lotion without any major fragrances or anything in it, like my Embryolisse cream. Actually for your face, but works just as well for hands and such. AMAZING lotion, by the way. Oh, how I will never be without it.

I've also used Lubriderm, Burt's Bee's, and Vaseline's Sensitive Aloe in the past, too. I like Lubriderm and Vaseline most. Burt's Bee's had a tendency to...I'm not sure how to describe it. As I would rub it in, it'd just flake off. It was gross.

Eczema I use a cortisone or antibiotic cream.
