Actually I think the budget may be one of the problems I'm having with it.

The first one I could get behind and enjoy, as I went in expecting a low-budget film and all that goes along with it... and I really enjoyed it.

The last two had higher budgets, better effects, and the story wasn't put together very well(there was a lot of waiting around I felt). And I think a main problem is the casting of Kristen Stewart as bella. She's a terrible actress. She does a fine casting for a low budget film, but not for anything else. I felt like they took the entire budget and threw it at making "really cool wolves" and just put the story together all half-assed like.

I think the order in which I like them is the 1st, 3rd, and then 2nd.

And to be honest the wolves were not animated all that great either. They looked cool when they were just standing there but the second they started moving, I actually burst out laughing the movement on them was so bad. But then again those types of things are my pet peeves and I always notice them.

True Blood is using real wolves for their werewolves!

Here is the behind the scenes on it if you're interested:

I thought it was really good.

What I liked more about this movie was that I think they toned Edward done a bit. Like in the first two (first in particular), he was TOO tense and TOO uptight. He looked freaky and some scenes he seemed really awkward, so much so that I was uncomfortable watching... In this movie though he was a little more relaxed and believable, IMO.

Also, I liked how they kept poking fun at Jacob's hotness. It provided some much needed comic relief :p

I think they did a relatively good job of the wolves and the fight scenes were cool for sure. There were also a lot more in this movie which I think was better because at points the last couple movies got dull.

All in all, I thought it was great :) I really enjoyed the books and am a fan, but not a screeching obsessed one :p I mean lets be realistic here people, yeah you like the books but lets not go crazy...

I just don't think I'm the type of person to get into these types of fads. I LOVE books....

but I was not a fan of harry potter at ALL and didn't enjoy the movies what so ever.

same with twilight. just not something I can get into.

I screamed over the backstreet boys when I was a teen but concerts were things only teens attended or people who loved them really. Grease is a favorite movie of mine that I saw in theatre when it was RE released and took my mom to see it on mothers day and that was fun because it wasn't just silly teen girls it was people of all ages and we were singing the songs and clapping all the time because we all knew the movie lol.

but I just have issues tolerating teens these days lol. I know Hannah is going to be one eventually and I don't know HOW I am going to tolerate her little teen girlfriends because there is nothing WORSE than teen girls in person lol not even nails on a chalkboard can compare :)

This. She ruins the films, I think. She needs to get her acting act together for the last two movies, I'm afraid she won't be able to pull it together and I'm already feeling disappointed.

I loved the books and have enjoyed the movies. This third one has been the best so far and Kristen Stewart wasn't as awkward in it as she was the first two. So I am holding out hope for the last two. I watched her on Oprah- she's awkward in real life, too!

I am not a die hard, screaming fan by any means, but I really wanted to see the movie. We went yesterday afternoon. I saw the funniest thing.... three guys sitting in the front row, with a seat in between them... it was hilarious. And then afterward we were walking out behind them and I swear they were chatting like teenage girls. Funniest thing ever. :rofl1:

I loved it when people in the theater oohhed and clapped when Jacob was on the screen shirtless the first time... it embarrassed my husband, I think. lol!

I think the thing with Twilight and Harry Potter is, largely, you're supposed to be drawn into a different world. I really like Harry Potter, but I think JK Rowling is a terrible author. The last book was the most well written book, and there's still a lot about it that I think she could have done SO much better with. I think the Twilight books are terribly written too - BUT it's more about suspending that and getting into the WORLD... the story, the adventure that's going on in the world. Not really how well written they are LOL. I did not like the HP books for a long time. It wasn't until after book 6 came out that I decided "fine, I will give it another shot." It took me like, three days to get past the first few chapters of Book 1 because it was SO BAD. But then I got past this threshold where suddenly I was more interested in the WORLD and the story... and I read the rest of the book in a day. Books 2 and 3 took me a day each after that (then book 4 took me a week because that is the slowest freakin' read in the series.) It was like, okay, once I got past the terrible writing and actually fell into this world she created, THEN it was interesting and exciting. Not like it's the most original story ever, but I'm not the kind of person who insists on stunning originality or I just can't enjoy something.

Personally, I find Bella to be the most irritating character in the world, and Edward is obnoxious too, so I haven't been able to even get immersed in the story since I can't stand the two biggest characters, LOL. I spent most of my time reading the first book and whatever I made it through in the second with an overwhelming urge to smack both of them. As for the movies, I honestly don't think Rob Pattinson can act very well either - he was very awkward and stilted as Cedric Diggory in HP4, so I cannot imagine WHY anybody would cast him ever again, let alone as the lead male role! (Also dear God can he just brush his hair and stop looking like such a douchebag? He was SO much more attractive as Cedric.) So with Kristen Stewart doing a crappy job and Pattinson screwing it up opposite her, it makes the movies painful for me to watch.. Taylor Lautner is totally the best part about the movies, LOL. I'm not even on Team Jacob, I'm just saying. *whistles*

It reminds me of Star Wars: Episode 1-3. George Lucas did such a smashing job making fine actors like Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor deliver stiff performances. =P It's that same level of painful to watch. But at least you can still immerse yourself in that world and enjoy it for being Star Wars rather than "wow, this is the finest piece of cinema I have ever seen!!" So I think a lot of people can get past the things that I can't get past and still enjoy Twilight because it's an interesting world she's created. Again, not the most original, but still interesting.

Not everybody that likes Twilight is an annoying teen... a lot of people my age and even older enjoy it. Not for me, but they like it, and that's cool by me. I think it's actually kind of cute sometimes, LOL. One girl is 22 and she totally bought the Bella bedding set for her bedroom. That's my kind of dorkiness. <3

I've read the books and enjoyed them. Eclipse is my favorite movie by far. The other two were kind of cheesy. I'm really hoping the author will right a fourth book and continue the series focusing on Renesmee and Jacob.

so the director for the latest movie is different from the first two? or was it just a bigger budget?
