I think there is a special pill or something that you can give them to make their poop taste yucky. I think it's a pill, I thought that I saw it at Petsmart.

Dogs eat poop. It's gross, but they do it. Raika came running up to me one time with poo smeared in her front teeth...it was so nasty, but I had to pry a piece of poo out from the top of her mouth with a paper towel. I think it was from the catbox, but she eats her own too given the chance. I don't think it hurts them...it just grosses us out! :)

She is only eating dog poop. It's usually hers, sometimes her brothers. We have them on Eagle Pack dog food so it can be the quality. We were thinking about leaving a pile out and spraying it with the no bite stuff (but sometimes she likes that too...)

Well we went to Petsmart today (puppy school) and got a "stool deodorizer plus" that is supposed to stop stool eating. But when we got home it says for dogs only. I don't know if that means no puppies so I emailed the company to find out if it is too strong for her belly. Hopefully it isn't and it will help!

Yup, it's gross and should be stopped asap. When I finally get a pup, after she goes toilie, I'm gonna praise her, then take her for a walk straight after not giving her the chance to start eating it.

As if eating poop wasn't enough, now Daisy is trying to drink Jedi's pee as he is going like he is a water fountain or something. They always have a full dish of fresh water, sometimes two so she can't be thirsty...

Cocoa does the same thing, there is a pill out there called "deter" that will stop the puppy from eating their own. It doesn't work as far as getting them to stop eating others unless you give the pill to the other dog. What we have decided to do (which was suggested by a great lady), is when one of the other dog goes poop and Cocoa goes for it, I show her a handful of treats and then toss them out into the yard (away from the poop) and she concentrates on that. She doesn't seem to like old poop, it has to be fresh out of the butt. LOL Anyway, that had been working for a few months but now she is back at it, so I'm back to throwing treats in the yard, it is like a great big scavenger hunt for her. Give it a try.

They started their first dose of a "4 in one stool deodorizer"(?) today so hopefully this will work. And hopefully with enough "leave its" she will get the hint!

I have found that nothing works to stop poop eating  My female pug has always done it and always will! We just got to the point where we follow each dog around with the poop scoop and hold it under them when they are going...this way, she can't get a hold of any LOL!! I have tried the pills, powders and they don't work. She has always eaten the best food around and that doesn't help either. I have always fed Solid Gold, Canidae and now she's on Innova Evo. All poop is yummy no matter what to her!

Well we've been using the tablets but they don't work. I guess poop is just delicious no matter what! We really try to pick it up as they go but every now and then when it's night, we let it slide and she always knows where to look in the morning.
