My GSD has had really dry skin from the first time I got him. I gave him a bath because he was kind of dirty, and I think it dried out his skin even more. I asked around for help in this other forum and was told some things like vitamins and stuff. I didn't try cod liver oil yet. I have been feeding him eggs everyday (for the most part) for over 3 weeks. He has this really bad spot on his tail and some of the hair is coming out. I am starting to get really worried. He just keeps scratching a lot.
What are your suggestions? Should I go to the store and actually buy over-the-counter medicine for him?
I did try the soap with tar in it, but that helps temporarily.
