ok seems i'm having the most trouble with basic commands. dropping the ball when we're playing fetch. she brings it back, but not all the way to me, and she doesn't drop it. or she'll lie down nearby. i figure she just likes the game of us trying to get the ball from her. whenever she gets something besides a ball, like a sock and she gets caught, she drops it really good, so she obviously knows what it means. i just want her to bring the ball back to me and drop it near where i'm standing. doesn't seem like it's too much to ask i just need to know how to let her know that's what i want her to do. like abour five minutes ago we were playing and i threw the ball once, she brought it right back to me and sat in front of me (like she always does when she wants me to pet her), i praised her for coming back and i took it from her mouth. when i put my hand on the ball she doesn't tug back, i just have to pull gently and she gives it back. so i threw the ball again and she got it (very willingly, so i don't think she lies down because she doesn't want to play anymore) but when she came back she didn't come right to me, instead she laid down about 3 feet from me. so i got up and left, trying to let her know that if she isn't going to play by my rules then i'm not going to play. am i doing that right or is there some other technique i can use that would be more clear to her? she loves to play those type of games with us!
