Brutus and I were going through the drive thru at McDonalds. I was ordering, when I noticed a car sitting next to me on the passenger side. I looked over and this man is motioning me to roll down the window. So, I finished my order,
pulled forward to be courteous and rolled down the window.

This man wanted to know if Brutus was a Mastiff. I told him "yes, a Brazilian Fila Mastiff". He commented, then asked me if he was a female? I told him, "no he was a male". He said "what a shame", I kinda looked at him as to why? He said. "I have a male Bull Mastiff and I was looking for a female to breed to". ( In a deep macho voice) I hope he was referring to the dog, but I'm not really sure. The way he put it made me giggle.

I was a little miffed, I don't think Brutus should be listed as a take out or drive thru menu item. But, at the same time it hit me rather funny. It's not everyday you run into people that are so stupid and desperate to breed their dogs that they are willing to place an order for breeding at a drive thru.

I started laughing, I guess this put an end to his short order... as, he drove off into the sunset.

It really does amaze me how bold people are about breeding their animals. I couldn't tell you how many people have me asked to let their dogs breed to Brutus.

Most of them I have po'd, I am not going to let my dog contribute to the mixed breed population.

I had an offer last week to breed to my beagle. Mister if you can't look at that grey muzzle and tell she is too old to be breeding, then neuter your male and do us all a favor. Not to mention her spay 9 1/2 years ago.

I guess Brutus would be a case of supersizing :D

And whatever you do, don't let anyone (especially Spike or Maggie) tease him about that guy thinking he was a grrrrl - poor Brutie's ego would never recover

His fragile supersized ego is safe with me. He was the only one with me at the time.

Poor Brutie, he would never live it down with the little dogs if they knew. They would remind him of that forever, and his ego would be fried for life.

Brutus is the Big Mac of the dog world. He could do puppy porn for all the offers he gets! :D

:D :D

That's a thought! Do you think he would mind me exploiting him for large sums of money? :D

Big Mac reminds me of a very popular stud in the lab world his name is Lean Mac. We was bred 400+ times! Hard to get away from having him in a pedigree.

Brutus are you the next Lean Mac? Or are you just a Mac daddy?:D

Someone asked if I would breed Hades to their pitt. He was 7 months old! They offered me two thousand dollars! (the pittbull ban had just gone into effect)

I told them they were crazy!

I had someone once ask me about breeding to Taz, who was standing next to me at the time. He's a beautiful boy, but... shall we say... he has no dangly bits.

If someone doesn't even notice the absence of such equipment, how could they possibly have looked him over well enough to know if he was worth breeding? (virtual eye rolling!)

I defiantely would say no if I was asked to breed my dog there are so many animals in need why contribute to that large number just to make some money off the poor animals? Funny story either way though, its unbelievable how desperate people can be.

Fila, I think so long as you keep him well stocked in T-bones, he'll be just peachy with the whole idea. :)
