Thanks guys for all the good thoughts!! He really isnt any better today. I dropped him off at the emergency clinic awhile ago for more IV fluids and a bunch more tests. We shall see what happens. We really dont have a strong leading idea on what is wrong. He just layed down with his head down in the waiting room and exam room (imagine a 7 month old normal puppy doing that...). Ill keep everyone updated! Thanks again!

Awww...poor baby. Without going back through the thread, (my memory sucks) were parasites checked for? An infection of some sort? You did say his liver was okay, right? What the heck can it be? I am still thinking about him and am so concerned. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. Still sending lots of vibes.

Thanks again guys for the thoughts!! He still isnt much better. I got a call from the emergency clinic last night that they wanted him to go up then. So we dropped Draco off in Madison at the university at midnight. He is scheduled for an abdomenal and heart ultrasound. Yesterday they discovered he had a really low heart rate, and found an abnormal block. He is hooked up to an ekg constantly now. It might be just that this whatever has been going on for a week and is affecting his heart now (not a primary heart issue). His heart rate was normal until yesterday, and is still low today. As of right now they have no ideas, so hopefully the u/s will shed some light on things. Tons of bloodwork has been done checking everything (kidney, liver, electrolytes, white and red blood cells, infection, addisons, lyme, tick stuff, etc), and lots of x-rays. They did say today he perks up and lifts his tail when they get him out, but is very quiet in his crage (but he was doing that yesterday with me too). So, hoping for something later.

Ask them about Addison's - atypical Addison's if his electrolytes are normal. Good luck and I'm sorry you're going through this, uncertainty is the worst. :(

We did check for Addisons, and were almost banking of atypical until the test came back normal. My old boy had atypical addisons.

Just got a call from them. Said nothing found on the ultrasound. He does seem to be turning a corner though! Is more perky when they get him out, and Finally ate some food!!! They will continue to watch him, and feed him more later. Still not sure what is going on, but they think general enteritis (inflammation of the GI tract) from him possibably getting into something. If he continues to improve then I can probably get him tomorrow. Yay!!!!

Great news!!!!! Could he have gotten into something poisonous? Something that just isn't showing up? How scary, I hope he continues on his path to getting better!
