That thread about burning dvd's reminded me. I need a new site to download music from. I was using Winmx but it stopped working and I read that it was shut down along with some other sites. I have used Kazaa before and don't like it. Is there anywhere else I can download music from (for free) or is everything gone?

Ive had Limewire for years now and never any problems. Stick to music and you should be ok. Norton Anti-Virus helps to.

FWIW, if you REALLY care about the music, you will pay for it.

Granted, I have illegally downloaded music before, but then again, I don't really care all that much about music.

Just know that if you are not paying for it, you are breaking the law.

yeah...exactly...

if you just want music for your comp...you can use yahoo...its like 7 bucks a month (i think...)...its cheaper if you pre-pay..

now if you want to transfer songs to an mp3 player, its more expensive, like 15 bucks (which is why i cancelled my subscription...im too broke, lol)

just make sure you understand how the program works (once you stop paying, you lose your songs...but you CAN buy songs off their as well, to make sure you never lose them)

oh yeah, not only is it not legal, but you are also putting your comp at risk for lots of viruses...
