Dogs who throw behaviors... (Lancer)

… are the easiest to work with. LOL.

Lancer is one such dog, and it makes teaching him party tricks and camera poses a total breeze. It’s a plus that he also doesn’t get frustrated easily if he didn’t try to do what I wanted the first time, and he will just keep going at it until he consistently gets rewarded (with just his usual dog food LOL oh lancer, so simple). It always ends up that I planned on teaching him one thing, and he ends up getting me to think of 3 more. I never have the clicker during photo sessions either, but he gets it anyway.

Half the time during photo sessions (which Lancer knows as “throwing random behaviors = rewards†time), he will just start climbing in weird spots and doing weird things and putting his front paws on rocks and hope that I think he’s funny enough to turn it into a command and a treat.

I must use crazy terms for Lancer, because he is a big loopy dog who would clearly throw puppies, if he were ever a parent.
