Dogs PH balance

I was wondering if its possible that when a Dogs PH balance is off would it cause their Urine to Burn the grass? I have two females and one of them Burns the grass from their Urine. She also has some Skin allergy problems and I wonder if all this ties together.

I also wondered if a Dogs PH would be much the same as a Humans too.
Are they any products that are natural for balancing the dogs PH? I dont want to give them the products that are specific for not burning the grass. Any Homeopathic or testing kits for Dogs PH.

I have done a search on the Web but have not come up with anything yet so I thought I would post this thread for ideas. Thanks

I think that all urine will burn grass. I know Peanut's does. I mean, urine is very acidic on the PH scale as it is.

it's the nitrogen in the urine that burns the grass, not acidity. the effect is the same as putting too much fertilizer on the lawn.

a dog's urine must be acidic, or you are inviting all sorts of urinary tract problems. it's not something you should mess with, unless you are treating an individual dog for oxalate urolithiasis.

your best bet for saving your lawn is to water frequently and as soon as possible after your dog has peed in a certain spot.

Its weird. We do water the spots after they go and the one dogs urine still burns the lawn. I dont care about the spots. It was just strange that one would burn and the other did not.

Our puppy creates fast growing green grass. But I think it's his diabetes that is doing that. The left over sugar in his system when his sugar is high. There is a product on the market that nutralizes the nitrogen in the ground. http://www.backyardstyle.com/shop/lawnfertilizer.php

Ditto to Mordy. Solid GOld sells pH test strips for animals. I keep a 100count container on hand its cheap something like 10.00 and its there when I suspect anything. My boy had UTI's like crazy until we figured out the cause.
