people say "oh I dont want to try my pup with my rabbit, cat e.c.t because it might eat them" but Skye is very fond of the bunnies and likes them alot and shes a cross GERMAN SHEPARD and BORDER COLLIE I dont see the point in saying this until you try!! I mean its fine if you have a terrier or a hound or something like that but people with unhunting breeds say this too. has anyone else had success with a dog and another pet??

BTW adorable rabbit. My sister has one that looks very similar to yours.

Some dogs are, and some aren't. :)

I wouldn't trust my terrier with any small animals (he has killed a rabbit before), but he is respectful of my cats.

My wirehaired dachshund, even tho from working stock and very much into killing vermin, was always very gentle with other housepets and even raised an orphaned kitten once (she started producing milk on the 3rd day after I brought home the kitten). I don't have any bigger photos available right now, but there are a few on her Dogster page:

I think it is easier to introduce a puppy or a young dog to cats and rabbits and the like than an older dog who has his roots established in his territory. Some dogs work well with other animals, some do not. It really depends on individual temperament.

My dog's a border collie cross. She ignores rabbits (wild ones, no pets) and adores cats. Our kitten curles up between her legs and sleeps. Smaller dogs she pins with her legs and licks.

She really is gorgeous!!

She reminds me of our old dog, Harvey (I hardly remember him)

I also noticed her collar - I have that one! Wilco's special bargain ;)
