I'm not too familiar with Dogos. From what I've read and heard, they're protective but not aggressive, and can be quite friendly. I believe that they're pretty stable dogs.

It's been said that they're like Boxers in a more powerful body.

Dogo Argentino is a very popular breed in my country and they are lovely dogs if you ask me. My friend has a male, his name is Chuck. He's gets along with all dogs, males and females and is also very friendly with humans. I have seen some that vere quite aggressive though..... obviously it depends on how much time owners dedicate to training and socializing them.
Here's Chuck:

Dog fighting....LOL, don't worry it's just a friendly game :D :

You say that Pits are allowed in the UK?
I am under the impression that if a Pit is seen here it will be taken and destroyed.

I thought that if they were here when the Ban was bought into Action then they had to be Tattooed, Licensed, spayed/Neuteured, so as not to carry on the Breeding Lines?

Therefore what is the point in a Ban b/c they must still be being Bred here right?

The Dogo is an exceptional breed. They were breed to chase wild boar and wild cat. They are intense in the area as to adore the whole family more pro for kids and females. They will accept the male although can be allouf and or with drawn in that area when needed.

These dogs do look like a pit bull but can be recognised as the breed it truly is. As this breed generally is 28 to 30 inches at the shoulder where as a pit is generally much smaller. Females 100 lbs and males 120 lbs and can go up

The Dogo is a fun loving dog with the attributes that show protection. Placed in the wrong hands this dog to can be known and recognised as a bad dog. But remember it is not the dog it is the owner. Remember there is " No SUCH THING AS A BAD DOG JUST A DOG WITH BAD ISSUES." AS WELL AS WE SAY DON'T BLAME EM' TRAIN EM'!!!!!!!!

We too have a breed ban and that is against the Pits and or any dog that resembles them. Therefore if in which we purchase another one we will have it recognised as the breed that it is and not what it is assumed to be. With that note we then are secured when owning a Dogo.

Dogos are fantastic dogs. Their looks remind me of a pittie on steroids LOL I have a buddy down in the states that hunts with them and is dogs are breath taking! Dogos by nature should be very good with people (especially their family and kids) but dont try to cross their owner. They must also be very good with other dogs because typically hunters use packs of them at a time. Not a dog for the first time owner.

Yes they are a wonderful breed I have just located a breeder that has some exceptional pups right now. This breeder is so intense that she knows exactly who and what the dog is all about at 6 weeks. Very responsible and relyable. I do not know if I want a male or female at this time so I will take my time to evaluate that area. Pup can't come for a few weeks any how.

i dont know why they ban any dog's all dog's can kill and bite and i think the list is sh*t why just them 4 dog's i hav been attact by a gsd as hav many ppl and they are not on the list WHY ???
I can't understand that either..... I mean if you ban these breeds you might as well ban Dogo de Bordeaoux and Rottweilers and Bullmastifs and so on and so on  . ALL dogs can be potentially dangerous if their owners are dangerous!!
