Hi

Quite funny really. I no longer need an alarm clock to wake me up.

At a set time 6:30am, the dog comes up and jumps on the bed. I wake up with the dog tapping my face. If I don't open my eyes and pretend I am asleep she keeps tapping and then makes a crying noise.

When I wake up, she greets me.

As soon as I lift the sheets up runs under the sheets and sleeps.

Our house is pretty cold due to rubbish Windows. So maybe she's getting cold in the kitchen?.

THanks

Maybe it's cold and she just loves you so very much that she wants to keep you warm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe she has tried a couple times while you were deep in sleep..victor gets cold really easy..he is the best bedwarmer...better then a hot water bottle..he not only wants under the blankets and as close to me as he can get ..he wants his head under too and is sooooo funny when he tries to cover himself up. you should just invite you pup in with you when you go to bed..then you can be warm all night too! not for everone's liking but deffinatley for me and vic.

hehe, sounds like victor is handy for keeping the bed worm.

I let the dog sleep inside the covers last night. Rosie slept in her back with the legs in the air and head on the pillow.

she asks like a human in bed. If she is sleeping on her side you can feel her breath on your back.

She's a sweet dog really.

Bronki always liked to bury his head in my hair toward the back of my neck. His warm breath felt like comfort to me. When he died that was one of the things that made sleeping so hard..Victor does two things that suprise me..for one he likes to do exactly the same thing..or rest his head on my heart (bronki did that too) and Vic is very affection with mary. Washes her face and ears at bedtime and in the morning with the same kind of tenderness. I don't know if other dogs do the same, but i am so glad Victor does.

I've been taking a few trips lately, and the other night (when back from one) I was putting my case away. Bonnie was watching intently - think she knows that case=desertion!!!

Anway when I woke up next day she was lying right across my legs - hadn't even felt her climb up... think she was just making sure I wasn't going off anywhere again!

My terrier Lena is afraid of bad weather and sometimes gets in bed with me to feel safe. She also gets into lots of other places in her search for a hiding place. One night she burrowed her way through 2 packs of fibre glass loft insulation as I slept and then came and crawled into bed with me.I just remember waking up itching like hell but didn`t know why till later when I seen the tunnel through the packs of fibre glass

MOjo does this when it's cold. It's the only time when he will sleep under the covers. If I feel his ears and see that they are pretty cold to the touch I will tuck him under with me.

Heh, Titus will take the corner of the blanket and very gently, just *tug* it a little... if you holler for him to go away, he will... but he'll try again in about an hour. XD

Sounds familiar! Bodhi wakes up about the same time every morning and either jumps on the bed for a snooze or climbs under the covers and keeps my feet warm!!

When she has decided it is time to get up she will come and badger me till I'm out of bed! Cheeky madam!

Katie snuggles up to me after my bf leaves for work. She sleeps on the end of the bed during the night, but as soon as he leaves for work she is laying right up next to her mama. She is definitly a mama's girl, and it drives my bf crazy sometimes. We never leave each others side unless absolutely necessary. Im 22 and don't even like to go out anymore because I hate leaving her alone...goes to show a dog can change your life in more ways then one.

Heheh, my birds always manage to wake me up nice and early. Putting a cover over their cages doesn't seem to do much good. ;p Once my Green Cheek Conure sees me through the crack in the blanket, he immediately wants out for some snuggle time. My dogs don't sleep in my room, so they don't ever have the chance to wake me up.
