I picked up some trash wood from school today (they're remodeling the cafeteria) with the intention of building something but now I'm at a bit of a loss as to what. I know I will be making a sit box for sure, and probably a practice contact plank, but I shoved kind of a lot of it in my car. :rofl1:
It's pine I think? It's really light in color and weight and has a bunch of staples in it (have to remove those obviously). It's not the sturdiest wood in the world, I wouldn't trust it to hold my dog's weight, but it's not going to shatter.
I'm also wondering how I should finish/protect/paint a finished product. Especially if the dogs are going to be sitting on it, I want it to be comfortable and not splintering them in the butt.
