Dog runs?

I have two adult rough collies and will be bringing home an 8 week old in a few weeks.

We'll be home till he's 3 months old, but from then on I go back to work so he will be alone from 7 - 3pm on weekdays.

My plan is to put a dog run in the actual dog enclosure we have now. The enclosure we have now is huge, undercover and gated, so I was thinking of putting in a 2.4 x 1.5 metre enclosure with a bed and toys for him to stay in until he's old enough to be let out with the others.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Is that big enough?

I reckon that's big enough. He's only a pup after all, and the bigger it is the scarier it could get for him.
I think that's a good idea.
