My goodness! I had no idea that pitbull terriers had that type of temperament problem in the breed.

It makes me wonder why people would breed an animal that just stares off into space, or obsessively chases its tail. I can't imagine a dog like that would be much fun to live with.

All of the bull terriers I've ever met I've wanted to take home with me! Before reading this, I actually started considering them as a possible second breed to get into.

They are drivey and fun and bright and intense and just the biggest lovers! However, they can be aggressive to other dogs. All of the ones I've met at dog parks are actually aloof towards other dogs and very handler focused.

Very interesting!

I have known, heard of, and read about (forums and elsewhere) dobes who suck their blankets........can't recall any that sucked their hind quarters, but definitely PLENTY that have the blankie sucking going on. It IS rather exciting that they identified (or think they have) what gene this is coming from.
