We have had several incidents over the last few years in the surrounding areas to where I live, at least the general province. It sure makes me more observant when in the dog park paying attention to what my dog is doing. I notice some folks there just chat.

There are sure some horrible people out there. :(

How cruel and sick can people be? If somebody even looks at my dog wrong, they're history (Going after them through legal channels of course).

The whole thing makes me have second thoughts about going to the dog park. Dogs pick food up so quickly, although Jake is not a real foodie like my last dog was.

I've been paro lately.. Last week it was poisoned cupcakes in port perry. We are 20 minutes away from there tops.. This week it's something else in a little whitby park. Like 5 minutes away. I never found out what it was that the dogs were eating, but this time 2 have died. The port perry attack the dogs all lived.

Seems to be happening more and more around our town also. Some people are just plain cruel I guess. If a dog bothers someone , why not talk it over with the owner, why take it out on an innocent dog?

Wow... that is truly scary, and disturbing. I have heard of people leaving poisoned treats around parks for off-leash dogs to eat, but never in DOG parks. :( It's like there is no where safe for us to take our dogs.

I've always felt disappointed because we have no dog parks here but after reading your post I'm not so sorry anymore. I think it would make me nervous about taking my dogs there.

This is another issue to weigh heavy in my choice in taking my munchkins to a dog park or not.:(
