There's this one Iams commercial I saw on tv. And it was about this guy playing frisbee with his dog, then they lay on the grass, he rubs the pups tummy, yadda yadda yadda.

If any of you know this commercial, do you know what kind of dog that was? Cuz it was weely gorgeous. And I'm wondering.

I'm trying to find the commercial online, or a picture of the dog, but no luck so far. :( It's a long haired god, orange, white and black/darkbrown in colour, reminds me kind of a border collie.. yet not quite. I dunno.

I hope one of you know, its bugging me, lol.

I think I remember that one, looked like an Aussie to me. (unless that's the Beneful commercial I'm thinking about...)

I've come to the conclusion that it must be a cross.

It looks almost exactly like this...

But different colouring.

I dunno, it was just such a pretty dog.

Could be an English Shepherd, but they are really quite rare. I've only ever seen one, and that was at a sheepdog trial.

My guess is that it's a Border Collie or Aussie with a tail.

I *think* I know the commercial you're referring to-- I think that dog looked like a mutt. A very cute one:)

They're more of what the old "farm Collie" used to be. They are not AKC (or apparently KC) recognized, but they are NSDR and UKC recognized.

I'm trying to picture the commercial but I think it may be an ES or mix.

Aww! That comercial is sooo cute!!! :D I always thought it was an Aussie, but come to think of it, it has a tail doesn't it? Maybe a border collie/aussie mix???

Yup it's a border. They come in those colours too as well as black and white, tri coloured and everything in between.

That commercial uses two different dogs. The one at the very end when they're laying in the grass I'm pretty sure, is a sable Border Collie. The one who actually catches the frisbee and such at the very beginning looks to be a Border Collie mix...it looks pretty heavy boned for a purebred, but you never know these days. Borders vary so much in appearance.

Hmmm... wonder if the one with the frisbee, was an AKc bred one. Those are heavier and donot much resemble the true(Non-AKC) bred Border collie. Plus they weigh more.
