I am at my wits end.

Merlin gets bathed/blowdried/brushed at least twice a week, he eats good food (Orijen currently) , he gets salmon oil supplements and coconut oil.
and I am still picking dog hair off my clothes.
It doesn't come off when I pet him or anything drastic but it's enough to drive me and my wardrobe nuts.

Is it the season? Am I going nuts? Just today I was out and I about to just resigned myself to being the girl with dog hair on a dress.

What do you use? I have lint-rollers but it's such a pain.

That's life with aussies. ;) Even in the not shedding season with good coat maintenance you're going to end up with hair on your clothes. I lint roll religiously for situations where I can't have hair on myself (ie work, going out with friends, etc), but for things like trips to the store? I've learned to live with it. ;)

I keep my nice clothes in a plastic tub and only open it and dress after I put the dogs away and am on my way oit of the house. That is for my suit and tie for work. Casual wear I use a lint roller and live with whatever is left.

Only bring home dogs that match your wardrobe's color scheme.

This.

Seriously though, I just live with it. Everyone I associate with ALSO has dog hair all over their clothes. I only own one lint roller and it's reserved for interviews - using it before work is pointless because I'm just going to end up with rabbit and cat and chinchilla fur on my clothes anyway. Why not add dog hair to the mix?

Dog hair, it's the lifestyle choice of owning a dog.

Also, after owning a corgi... I'm pretty sure I wouldn't know what it's like to NOT have dog hair on every.single.thing. I own.

There's no escaping it.

Lint brushes are good. Some friends got me a Schticky as a gag wedding gift, and it's actually come in pretty handy. But I basically don't wear the clothes that I know are particularly attractive to dog hair.

After a bath I notice it cuts down on Cohen's shedding for about a week. But it's probably less the bath and more the thorough brushing I give her beforehand.

I wear mostly black and have mostly white dogs. It's a bad plan.

I try to keep a lint roller in my house, one in my office, and one in my car. Usually I just have dog hair all over me.

But they're cute! :lol-sign:

Yeahhhh I just vacuum a lot. And dust a lot. And brush them out a whole lot. They are also not allowed everywhere in my house which is helpful. Kimma is the only one allowed in the bedroom on a regular basis and she seems to shed the least of all of them. Even so I keep my closet doors in there closed and wash my bed stuff frequently.

Since I play a lot of weddings I do have to look nice a good amount, and it also requires all black which totally doesn't mesh with their fur. So I put them away in the other room or in their crates before I get dressed then get myself ready and out the door. For a quick going out with friends or whatever I just lint roll. And work is dogs so they don't care :p

It surprises me,how fur gets on my clothing, for an 11 pound cat.

I have a lint roller in my garage, so I use it before I go to school, or wherever I'm going out.

This is the one thing I was worried about when I got Happy.
Juno and my cat shed a ton, but it's short hairs and just not as obnoxious...

Thankfully, by the miracle of all miracles, Happy is like virtually non-shedding lol. I can wear my black scrub pants, pet Happy and have her rub up against my legs and there will be like... 2 hairs stuck to my pants.

Even with basically no undercoat on Gusto, and not too much on Meg, it happens here all the time. The sticky lint roller things are helpful. I've thought about getting those magic rubber rollers they show on infomercials. But mostly I just live with it. Luckily I wear a lab coat most of the day at work.

Gusto can hear the dryer stop (even though I turned off the buzzer) from anywhere in the house. He goes trotting in immediately, and follows you around until you throw the clothes on the bed. And then this happens:

You have never seen a dog as disgusted as Gusto if you leave the clothes in the dryer too long and they aren't warm anymore. I just gave up. If I really can't have hair on me, I lint roll as I'm heading out the door. And then get hair all over me in the car as soon as I sit down.

Thus why I will be sticking to poodles and the like from now on, it's soooo much nicer to shave it off and throw it away then vacuum, lint roll and sweep it up lol.

Yeah pretty much just live with the hair problem. My girls have short coats, but the actual strands of hair are stiff and tend to sew their way into clothes adn blankets. I don't bother with lint rolling because my car generally has hair on it too. If I have a BIG Interview or work presentation, I'll put a clean blanket on the car seat and lint roll when I get to work.

Otherwise, I enjoy the fine pattina of dog hair that coats everything I wear.

Pet hair is an accessory...just wear a matching purse and shoes ;)

I have resigned myself to the fact that I will never completely win the war on dog and cat hair.

Even a lint roller only does so much.

I just live with it. Labs only shed twice a year- the only catch is each shed lasts 6 months...

I wear a lot of dark clothes, and Jack (by far the biggest offender) is a very dark brown dog, so it's not much of an issue. We do have lint rollers if we have to be dog hair free. Honestly, I think that cat hair is far worse.
