I think different people get different things from different forums. Me personally, this is the only all-breed forum I'm on. I used to be on the Dog Fancy board many years ago, but don't know enough about the modern-day incarnation -- if there even is one -- to say whether I'd recommend it or not. Personally, the one all-breed forum that I wouldn't recommend is the Petfinder forum. I was on there for a while and had to leave. Too many extreme viewpoints -- neuter everything, outlaw tethering, the dog sports and registries are evil, etc -- and you don't know who the moderating team is so there's no accountability when people get their posts pulled for no reason. My first account there got banned because I made a post informing people of their rights when animal control comes knocking on the door. Now that's scary.

I visit dogforum.org, the victoria stilwell forum, ours dogs online, gocorgi.com, and mod dogforums.com. I love all the forums I visit.

I used to visit the dog.com forum (formerly i-dog) for a long time, but then they changed and sold out and got all cold and corporate, so I left.

I'm mainly on this one and dogforums, though this one is a lot 'smaller' feeling. I don't know if it is, but dogforums gets crazy sometimes. It's funny though, viewpoints are very different between the two on certain issues. I post pictures on the forum formerly known as idog and talk to a few people on there too.

Also, I lurk the BC boards a bit, and post occasionally on mighty might (a small breed sports dog forum)

Chaz has always been my favorite. :D

ETA: Baha, you got me curious about the Petfinder forums now, LOL!

I go to a breed specific forum also that I love but it moves way too quick for me... What I like here is that if I cant get on one day I can still catch up pretty quick but with that forum it is impossible. There are also smaller "cliques" there... not in a bad way its just that there are way too many people to know them all so people form smaller groups of friends. I usually just go there now to ask specific questions that people here cant answer.

Chaz is my number one for sure. No other forum is as quite as active as this one, and I love that about chaz. Most are a little... dead.

I've been a part of a couple pit bull forums. I pretty much got bored with them for some reason. Once in a great while I will lurk and something will catch my attention and I will make a post.

I've been lurking on a couple chihuahua forums as well.

I'm on dogforums but I get cranky with it occasionally (as anyone who talks to me on my instant messagers knows- all boards are cliquey to some extent but when the mods play along, it's obnoxious.)

I post occasionally on mighty mites (primarily about Lizzie), and I'm on Corgi-L and a few LJ-based dog communities. I'm also on i-dog/dog.com, which I still kinda like, despite the awful new interface. And furkids.net, which is pretty dead (and has developed into a pretty stagnant site) is still fun for nostalgic reasons.

I tend to visit globalpaw.com but love, like some say here, the "small-yet-big" atmosphere of chaz.

Chaz and pets-n-people.net are really the only all-breed/pet forums I post regularly on.

I post on a couple pit bull forums as well, and "for the love of danes" (a dane forum- obviously)

Chaz is the only one I'm on at the time, I really think it's healthiest to have only one obsession. :)

Before I came here, though, I also was on seefido.com, which I would not recommend. Very few of the "regulars" there agree with clicker training or really ANY positive reinforcement training, and they get very upset when you suggest it. I got banned from that forum but continued lurking for a while until I decided it was not worth the stress.

I'm also on dogforums and pop back and forth. Wonder how many of us are on both? My posts tend to get deleted on dogforums and a number of people have left negative remarks saying I was rude. I know that is absolutely impossible as I'm a Canadian and we simply cannot be rude - it's in the genes eh?:D

I post a lot on Globalpaw, its died down quite a bit though, not a lot of veteran members left.

I used to post several times a day on PetsHub (An all animal forum) but that forum is a baron wasteland now, only about 10 members, probably not even. And a few of those members don't like me cause I don't sugarcoat everything. But I still post there occasionally.

I am also a member of a dachshund forum, but I mainly lurk and post pics there.

And Goosemoose.com, my favorite rat forum and the only one I am on actually.

I have registered with a bunch of other forums, introduced myself and that was it! Don't have time to post on those, just stick with Chaz, Goosemoose, and Globalpaw.

I enjoy watching dogs in action, especially good work of a hunting dog, or a team work of several dogs. Therefore, I often visit forums about hunting breeds. Some of them are very interesting. Dogs used for physically demanding work are very happy and they share their enthusiasm with their owners; not just consumptive hunting, but rahter a dog watching during hunting. For example, hare hunting with sighthounds or coyote hunting with staghounds and longdogs. I like jargon of hunters and their discussions of the dogs and their performance. I know there are forums dedicated to herding, sledding or livestock guarding dogs. I like the latter ones very much. They work independently and learn on the job. A livestock protecting dog team is capable of organizing their work by themselves; they are very intelligent and remarkably fit and healthy dogs.
