Dog eat grass?

My grandma's dog eat grass whenever he is not feeling well, my grandma said it was normal for a dog... is that true?

Yup !!! Even when they're feeling well some are grazers .

i found my dog did the same thing before... i tried asking around and what most people told me was it was normal... dogs usually do this when they are not feeling well or when they ate something bad...

Mine too...actually i asked this question in some thread in this forum too but got no answer...Anyway I think this is normal because a dog is omnivorous right so they can eat both animals and vegetable...but when they feel not good they eat grass??? I don't know really the answer probably vet knows the right answer...

Yes, she's right. Some of mine have also just been grass eaters.

I would feel comfortable saying at least 80% of dogs like to eat grass. Both my dogs eat grass, and most of the dogs at FOHA will eat grass on walks when the new stuff comes up.

my Addie only eats grass when she is sick, then promptly throws up. Hammie eats grass routinely, like an after dinner salad.

I think Kharma eats grass - and she's VERY particular about what kind of grass she eats to find her inner Oneness with cows . . . . the better to herd them, lol.

Tallulah, I am learning, will stand there and nosh mouthfulls of it to tell me that she wants a snack. I can call her and call her and she stands there and deliberately looks at me, then grabs another mouthful of grass. When I ask her if she's ready for a snack, she spits it out and hurtles herself toward the door.

All dogs seem to eat grass at one time or another. Sometimes they eat it when not feeling well but some eat it because they like it. Someone mentioned that grass contains chlorophyl and dogs need it sometimes.

my pups love grass

i used to buy Barley Dog and sprinkle it on their food if I got tired of them eating grass... and if I put denta clean in their water they don't eat the grass either.
