Dog Collars

so your dog(s) wear them? all the time? only when you go out? with tags? without tags? do they wear harness? all the time? only for walks?

my dogs wear collars throughout the day and i take them off at night. i'm going to get harness for both for when we go on walks.

My dog wears a harness with tags, but only to go outside. I have heard to many stories about dogs getting hurt with there colors on inside so I don't keep his on.

Mine wear them inside during the day but not at night. Tira's tags are on her harness so I need to transfer them to her collar (since she's using a collar and halti now). We're starting Gunner on the harness, but he's having a hard time getting used to staying with the group (me and Tira). It's like he thinks he's "free" to go wherever he wants.

So, collars during the day...for walks...with tags.

The only time my guys wear collars is to the vets.

I've got them wearing their bandanas again inside.

When they go on walks I use a voldhardt so the leash doesn't attach to the collar.

They have collars though in case my parents are babysitting they wear them with their tags and everything.

My puppy only wears his collar when he goes outside to potty or out in public. I don't ever keep it on him when he's inside because for some reason it makes him go crazy. I only put it on him when we go outside the house.

didi has a breakable collar (i think thats what its called). i think they only make it for cats though, but since her neck is so small i got it. but that's why i wanna get the harness, she always pulls on the leash and the collar snatches and she breaks-free lol.

Mine wear their collars and ID tags all the time. Tia has a harness that she wears for walks with no ID on it, but she wears her collar on walks aswell. Tango has a harness for hiking and long walks with ID in a tag pouch that slides onto the harness so they'll never get lost. I am collar obsessed, every time I see one I like, I buy it. I've heard of horrible stories when it comes to keeping collars on in a house, but my dogs do not play unsupervised and rarely wrestle in the house. I do take their collars off in their crates though.

how many tags do you guys have on the collars? i only have the rabies tag. i use to have the rabies tag, phone number, and a jingle bell on one didi's collars. that got on my nerves!

I am too toller! They have at least 3 matching collars and leash sets, they just never wear them, unless it's for pictures or something! LOL. They just look so uncomfortable... they both have, hangy neck skin and the collars just make it look worse! LOL

how many tags do you guys have on the collars?

Mine have their city license tag, Rabies tag, & ID tag (with my phone #) on theirs. Before I got tag pouches/covers though, they only had their ID tag on as I nor Tango can stand the awful jingling noise. My dogs will never again be without a tag cover.

i want to get the collars with the name & number on it. isn't the rabies tag the same thing as the license tag?

Buddy wears his collar almost 100% of the time. It only gets taken off for a bath or a good brushing.

When he goes to the dog park, we put a harness on him and take his collar off.

If we had more than one dog, they would only wear collars and/or harnesses when they went outside of the house, it's too dangerous to have them on otherwise.

Buddy's harness has his name, our phone numbers and our address.

His collar has the same as above, his rabies tag and Get Me Home ID-just in case.

In my city they're two entirely different things, but I understand that in other places they're the same.

Cocoa rarely ever wears her collar.

The rest of my dogs wear their collar 100% of the time.

My dogs wear their collars all the time. All have microchip, rabies (except for puppy), and ID tags on them.

I'm charged for the Rabies vaccine, and then they give me a free tag verifying that my dogs have been vaccinated for it. We have to pay yearly for the License.

oh okay. i get charged for the shot & tag. pepe has a tattoo too, but i doubt it if he gets lost the person is gonna look at his hindlegs. well except when he's sleeping. pepe and his weird sleeping positions

ooh and a yoke would be nice. also everything (collar,bandana,yoke,harness) all in louis vuittion. hehe.

Tira wears her rabies tag. Gunner doesn't have one yet (to young). The city doesn't require a license and we're gonna get a personalized I.D. as soon as we can for both of them. Hopefully next weekend, by the 9th. (Tira's birthday is July 9th and she'll be 2 yrs. old.) She had a little square plastic I.D. tag when she was younger, but it is so small compared to her size now, no one would see it!
